It will be the fourteenth edition (and second female one) of the Tournament of Nations in Gradisca d’Isonzo, running from 24th April to 1st May 2017.
The event is a collaboration between the teams, businesses and schools, as all national participants link to companies that then become local promoters, while the schoolchildren put together sports-related designs on social themes to be entered into a competition.
England have been grouped with Mexico, Slovenia and the USA, while the hosts are up against Belgium, France and Germany.
The Young Lionesses begin against Mexico in Lignano, then playing twice in Slovenia, against the home side and then the USA tow days later.
