Emma Hayes announced as Barclays Women’s Super League Manager of the Year, Lauren Smith wins the Championship award.
The awards were announced at the 31st League Managers Association Annual Awards Dinner by LMA President Gareth Southgate OBE and LMA Executive Committee member Sir Alex Ferguson CBE.
Emma Hayes OBE (Chelsea) won the Barclays Women’s Super League Manager of the Year, following a voting process involving WSL Managers, an esteemed Barclays panel of respected individuals within women’s football and a public vote.
Lauren Smith of promoted Bristol City won the Barclays Women’s Championship Award, which is voted for by all the managers in the division who take into account which of their direct competitors has made the greatest use of the resources available to them in the current season.
