Eastbourne Borough FC Women have won the Sussex Division 2 title with the final game of their first league season.

Ellouise Blackburn hit a double hat-trick and Ellie-Mai Moore netted five times in a 14-0 win away over Pevensey & Westham, who recently fielded Eniola Aluko after winning her services for one match through the eBay Dream Transfer charity raffle.

Borough’s victory lifted them above Premier United, who had to settle for the runners-up spot despite being the one unbeaten side in the division.

Eastbourne have a more testing tie in the South East Counties League Cup quarter-finals on 13 March, when they visit second-placed Premier Division side Pagham.
