Durham have signed 21-year-old prolific striker Carly Johns, formerly of Watford, on a professional contract.
She scored nine times in all competitions last season for the relegated Hornets, earlier netting 52 goals in 76 appearances for Oxford United.
Her 20 goals in the 2022/23 season was recognised with the FA WNL’s Golden Boot award for top scorer.
Johns told durhamwfc.co.uk: “I’m buzzing to be here. I played against Durham last season and they were a really tough challenge, so it’s good to get to know all the girls and the staff and I’m really happy to be here.
“I’m really looking forward to it and hoping to improve on those numbers from last season.
