Darwen of the North West Regional League defeated FAWNL Division 1 side Leeds United in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup 2nd Round.

North West League Darwen eliminated FAWNL visitors Leeds United on penalties, following a 1-1 deadlock after 120+ minutes.

Faye Dale’s second-half effort saw Durham Cestria win away to higher division hosts, Liverpool Feds.

Chatham Town dramatically won a nine-goal thriller with AFC Wimbledon after a 90th-minute penalty.

West Midlands League Coundon Court won away to National League Leafield Athletic, Eastern League Needham Market took third tier hosts West Brom to extra time before bowing out 3-0.

Luton Town led 4-1 at Enfield Town before the hosts pulled two goals back, only to have a player sent off in the last minute and the Hatters seal their progress with a fifth goal.

In the last two 1st Round ties, Southampton Women’s scraped through 4-3 against a Brentford – two divisions their junior – to set up a home tie with Maidenhead United next Sunday, when Keynsham Town will visit Bristol Rovers after edging Marine Academy Plymouth in a shoot-out.

Third Round draw

Barclays Women’s Championship sides enter the competition at the third round stage, with the draw being made at 3pm on Monday 27 November, live from Wembley Stadium via Instagram at @adobewomensfacup.
