Dario Vidosic was not pleased with Brighton and Hove Albion’s 2-1 loss to Aston Villa in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
Fuka Tsunoda had put the visitors a goal up – but two second-half goals in the space of a minute, from Rachel Daly and Kirsty Hanson, meant the points stayed in the Midlands.
And the Brighton boss admitted his frustration afterwards.
“This is not an easy place to come,” he said in quotes published on the club website.
“We were good with and without the ball in the first half and I thought we created enough then to be a little more in front, but we weren’t able to put those chances away.
“In the second half, we just didn’t start well, we lost control and started forcing passes, playing long when our distances were too big.
“We gave away a free-kick and then conceded from it, which is really disappointing because it’s an area where we have been really good. We practise a lot and talk about it, so we have to be better.
“And then one minute later, the same thing happened. We forced a ball and they punished us.
“Basically, we have just thrown away the points.”

Although he was unhappy with the result, he wasn’t too displeased with the display – hinting that further activity during the transfer window might help to erase the small errors.
“I think Villa are a good team, a dangerous team, and we were able to play our way and dominate the game,” he added.
“We have an idea to play our brand of football and we did that in large parts. It’s just a few little things that we need to clean up.
“I was happy with a lot of the football we played. We are just lacking a little bit of quality.”
