Sion Swifts secured a landmark 12-0 victory over Cliftonville as they aim to secure their first ever Danske Bank Women’s Premiership title.
The Strabane-based side are now four points clear of champions Linfield – who have played two games fewer – while they themselves have just two league games left to play.
The Blues were scheduled to be in action tonight against Glentoran but both teams had multiple players involved in international duty with Northern Ireland this week, so that crucial game has been put back to Saturday 14 September.
It was also a massive night at the foot of the table as Comber Rec recorded their first ever top flight win as they edged out Derry City 1-0 at Londonderry Park.
Nora Calder was the scorer for Winky Kerr’s side, who had picked up just one point – also in a home fixture against the Candystripes – in their previous 14 outings.
Comber remain at the foot of the table but are now level on points with Derry, who have played one game more.
