Danske Bank Women’s Premiership leaders Linfield came from a goal down to defeat hosts Cliftonville on Wednesday, as they continue their march towards the title.

Cliftonville were in front at the break through Marissa Callaghan after twice hitting the post and having another effort judged to have not crossed the line.

Linfield turned the game around with two goals in a minute as Rebecca Bassett restored parity and Megan Bell gave them the lead.

Rachel McConnell brought the home side back to 2-2 only for Kirsty McGuinness to rifle in the winner from 35 yards.

It was indeed a special evening for the McGuinness family, as while Kirsty was standing in as captain, her younger sister Caitlin made her league debut and brother Caomhan skippered the Swifts side to a big win.

Glentoran went second in the table with a 4-0 defeat of Derry City. Ali McMaster and Rachel Rogan got a goal each before Kelly Bailie converted a penalty and netted her second of the night.

Sion Swifts put five points between themselves and Crusaders Strikers after beating them 1-0 away from home.
