#DanskeWomensPrem : Linfield take title after dramatic fightback

Linfield sealed back-to-back NIFL Danske Bank Premiership titles in dramatic fashion and with two games to spare, coming from 3-0 down at half-time to beat second-placed hosts Glentoran 5-3.

Glentoran  bossed the first half and deservedly went in with a three goal cushion, Makyla Mullholland, Ali McMaster and Rachel Rogan their scorers.

Linfield lost goalkeeper Jamie Lee Wilson to injury for the second half but within 4 minutes of the restart, Rebecca McKenna fired home from distance to reduce the arrears.

Kirsty McGuinness quickly added a second for the visitors and on 70 minutes her deflected shot took a wicked deflection to make it 3-3.

A point would have clinched the title for Linfield but they made quite sure as a free kick from McGuinness was headed home by Ashley Hutton and then Rebecca Bassett blasted home from distance.
