Linfield moved six points clear in the NIFL Danske Bank Women’s Premiership, with a 2-0 win at third-placed Crusaders Strikers on Sunday 22 July.
Strikers would have gone second with a victory at Seaview but fell behind to a 31st-minute goal, after Megan Bell played the ball in to Kirsty McGuinness to score.
McGuinness then doubled her tally 6 minutes into the second half, drilling the ball across the goalkeeper and inside the far post to seal a hard-fought 2-0 win.
Linfield have another crucial match in their title bid on Wednesday 25 July, with a top of the table clash at home to Cliftonville, who have two games in hand with which to make up the six-point deficit.
On the same night Sion Swifts are due to host Crusaders and Derry City entertain Glentoran.
