Crusaders Strikers U-19s beat Cliftonville Corinthians 6-1 to effectively become NIFL Women’s Premiership Academy League champions.

The scoreline was just enough to take Crusaders above Linfield Swifts by virtue of goals scored, 58 to 57, with the title rivals level on points and goal-difference.

The Strikers are due to again host Cliftonville at Seaview in the very last fixture of the season on Friday evening at 8pm.

But the outcome will not effect the championship, with Crusaders having the best of a head-to-head record with title rivals Cliftonville determining top spot is theirs.
