Coventry United have brought back defender Mollie Green on loan from Birmingham City for the remainder of the season.

Green’s dramatic injury-time free-kick at Watford meant Coventry avoided relegation last season, despite a 10-point deduction after almost going into administration.

The 25-year-old former Liverpool, Everton and Manchester United player returns with United again at the foot of the Barclays Women’s Championship table, five points adrift with ten games left.

Head Coach, Lee Burch told coventryunited.co.uk: “I’m really pleased to be able to bring Mollie back to the cub on loan. She will bring quality and experience to our side and add to the culture and environment we have here.

“She is a big part of the club after he famous winner last season and will have another big impact, I am sure. I’m looking forward to working with her.”
