The Avenir Sports All-Island Cup kicked off on 17 June, with the competition to determine who is the best team on the island of Ireland.
Group A: Linfield 0-1 Galway United, Athlone Town 1-4 Shelbourne
Group B: Glentoran 1-1 Wexford Youths, Shamrock Rovers 2-1 Peamount United
Group C: Cliftonville 2-1 Sion Swifts, Sligo Rovers 1-3 Bohemians
Group D: Crusaders Strikers 3-2 Treaty United, Cork City 2-1 DLR Waves
Jenna Slattery’s goal in the first half was enough to give Galway victory at Linfield in Group A, Kayla Hamric scored twice as Shelbourne won 4-1 away to Athlone Town where a thunderstorm held up proceedings.
In Group B, Kerry Beattie’s 19th-minute goal for Glentoran was cancelled out by Kiera Rossiter’s strike for Wexford Youths before half-time, while Jaime Thompson’s penalty and a Lauren Kelly effort had Shamrock Rovers two up with Peamount United getting a late consolation.
Cliftonville had to come from behind to beat Sion Swifts in Group C, Fi Morgan levelling and Danielle Maxwell with the winner. Aoife Robinson and Niamh Prior were on target in Bohemians’ 3-1 result at Sligo Rovers who converted a late penalty.

Crusaders Strikers were three up in their Group D game through Amy McGivern, Faith Johnston and Caitlyn Hamilton, Cara Griffin’s two goals gave Treaty United hope but their comeback fell just short. Cork City defeated DLR Waves with first-half goals from Chloe Atkinson and Kiera Sena, the visitors replying from the spot.
