Cliftonville and Sion Swifts back in Premiership League Cup Final again

Cliftonville hit Linfield for six and Sion Swifts won by the only goal at Crusaders Strikers in the NIFL Women’s Premiership League Cup semi-finals.

Toni Leigh Finnegan gave Cliftonville the lead with a free-kick, Marissa Callaghan and Caitlin McGuinness adding one each for a 3-0 interval advantage.

Abi Magee got the fourth off the crossbar, Fi Morgan headed home the fifth, with Keri Halliday pulling one back before Vicky Carleton completed the scoring emphatically.

Cora Chambers made the breakthrough as holders Sion Swifts edged out Crusaders Strikers, to set up a repeat of last year’s final.

The final of the Women’s Premiership League Cup will provisionally be played on the Monday 24 July 2023.
