City Sink Saints To Go Ten Points Clear

Chichester had won all but one of their eleven league games, that being a 1-1 tie at Southampton Saints back in September.

Thursday night’s result gave City a ten-point lead over second-placed Plymouth Argyle, who remain a big threat with their three games in hand.

Molly Clark opened the scoring for Liam Greenfield’s side after only 2 minutes, with Charley Wilson-Blakeley then scoring twice to take the lead to 3-0 with just 16 minutes played.

After the break, Cherelle Khassal delighted the 120-strong crowd with the fourth from 30 yards, with Wilson Blakeley latterly being attributed the fifth goal – completing her fourth hat-trick of the season.

Clark then added two more, the second of which was struck from long range to also seal her treble.

A fantastic evening for the hosts ended with Jess Lewry netting the eighth and final goal.
