Chloe Kelly and Hannah Hampton expected to earn MBE after Euro 2025

Chloe Kelly and Hannah Hampton celebrate England’s penalty shootout win against Spain in euro 2025 final

Two Lionesses from Euro 2025 are in line to pick up an MBE with Chloe Kelly and Hannah Hampton set to be on the new years honours list.

Chloe Kelly and Hannah Hampton were inspirational for England during their successful Euros campaign and the duo are set to be recognised for all of their hard work.

More MBE’s for English stars

With England securing a back to back success at thee Euros this summer it is no surprise to see some of the stars expected to win national awards.

Chloe Kelly was without a doubt England’s biggest hero on route to glory in Switzerland.

The 27-year-old scored a crucial extra time penalty for her country to get them into the final and that wasn’t her only spot-kick to save the Lionesses.

Arsenal’s new permanent signing also netted the winning penalty in two shootouts including the final with a repeat of her Euro 2022 final heroics.

As well as being in line for an MBE, Kelly’s odds for Sports Personality of the Year have been slashed.

Kelly is currently just 7/4 to win the award behind Rory McIlroy according to UK betting sites.

While Kelly scored all of the important goals, Hannah Hampton was at the other end stopping them for England.

Hampton, who was diagnosed with strabismus at a young age, came out on top in two penalty shootouts when it mattered most for the Lionesses.

As well as prevailing in the shootouts Hampton also remained consistent through the tournament.

Hampton made her Euros debut this year and did well to fill the large void left by Mary Earps. Earps retired from international football just before Sarina Wiegman announced her squad in 2025.

Who already has an MBE for England women?

Kelly and Hampton could join an already long list of superstars to be awarded an MBE for their achievements with England.

Since Euro 2022 there have been eight Lionesses recognised on the new years honours list.

Lionesses awarded MBE/OBE’s since Euro 2022

  • Rachel Daly (MBE)
  • Lucy Bronze (MBE)
  • Ellen White (MBE)
  • Beth Mead (MBE)
  • Leah Williamson (OBE)
  • Mary Earps (MBE)
  • Lauren Hemp (MBE)
  • Millie Bright (OBE)

All of the recipients of the honours played influential roles in England’s first ever Euros success.

Beth Mead was top scorer at the tournament and finished runner up for the Ballon d’Or. Leah Williamson captained the winning team and Ellen White retired as England’s all-time top scorer.

Millie Bright, Rachel Daly and Mary Earps also retired from international football after Euro 2022.

Lauren Hemp and Lucy Bronze are still a part of the Lionesses setup and won back to back Championships.
