Two Chichester City U-14 Girls players recently had the unusual expereince of competing against each other when representing different counties.
Tilly Gray took trials in September 2014 to play for Sussex County FA Player Development Centre, as did Lou Lou Robson for Hampshire FA Girls Centre of Excellence. Both girls were successful and have been training with their counties since October.
They played their first fixture on Friday 20th February at Hassocks Sports Centre. Chichesyer City Girls Manager Elaine Gray watched them play. “It was a very nail-biting game and I was so proud to see both my players make the scoresheet. And as the final score was 4-4. it ended to be a very even game.”
Emma Alexandre, coach for Chichester Girls and also captain of Chichester City Ladies said; “It was such an honour to see two ‘Chi’ youth players not only represent their county but to excel and both score.”
Lou Lou Robson said; “It felt good to be playing agsin and enjoyed every moment.”
Tilly Gray said; “It was a challenge playing against LouLou as I am used to her playing behind me in centre midfield for Chichester City Girls. It was a fantastic experience and hope to excel even more for my dream to come true.”
