Chesterfield FC Women, who field two senior sides, will be launching their own academy for girls in time for the start of the 2020/21 season.

CFCW academy manager, Jon Cotterill-Bolsover, told the Spireites’ website: “This is something we’ve been working on for a while and it’s fantastic that we are now in a position to launch the academy.

“The first team continues to go from strength to strength and we want to make sure that we are able to develop our own youngsters, so that they can one day play in the first team.”

Squads for the new academy will run from U-11s to U-18s and although trial dates are yet to be annonced, you can register your interest by emailing women@chesterfield-fc.co.uk.
