Chelsea and Man City draw Scandinavians in UWCL

Manchester City will play Norway’s Lillestrom in the UWCL Round of 16, while Chelsea face Sweden’s Rosengård.

Ties to be played on  8/9 & 15/16 November.

Chelsea’s ties with Rosengård will see them up against a former player in Anita Asante, who has been with the Swedish club since 2013.

Manchester City meet Lillestrom who beat Brøndby in the previous round, as did Nick Cushing’s side on their way to last season’s semi-finals.

Looking for a third UWCL trophy in as many years, Lyon’s next hurdle is represented by BIIK Kazygurt, who had that narrow victory over Glasgow City.

Wolfsburg are the only other former finalists left in this season’s competition and they go head to head with with sole remianing debuntants in Fiorentina of Italy.

Stjarnan’s first appearance at this stage of the tournament sees them paired with Slavia Praha and Prague is the first city to have two teams in the round of 16 draw, with Sparta to face Linköping.

Lithuania’s Gintra Universitetas are up against Barcelona, while it’s Italy versus France as Brescia play Montpellier.

The final is scheduled for 24th May at the Valeriy Lobanovskiy Dynamo Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine.
