Charlton Athletic have secured the loan signing of central defender Gracie Pearse from Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the season.

The England U-21 international has played five first-team games for Spurs and spent the second half of last season helping Bristol City win the Barclays Women’s Championship title.

She began her career with Arsenal’s academy, before making a permanent move to Spurs in the summer of 2021, later going out on loan to Crystal Palace.

Pearse told charltonafc.com: “For me, I’ve always known that Charlton is a good side and an ambitious side so I definitely think that’s a key thing that brought me to be here.

“I’m quite a confident player on the ball, especially with my feet I’m quite composed and like to drive forward and to find pockets in the midfield.”
