Charlton Athletic came from behind to defeat local rivals Crystal Palace with a late goal in the Capital Cup Final at Bedfont Sports FC.
The Addicks were awarded an early penalty for handball in the box but the spot-kick was turned onto the post by Megen Lynch
Palace went close twice late in the half but a last ditch tackle by Chloe Brunton-Wilde denied Gemma Bryan and Katie Startup then kept out an effort from the prolific striker.
Bryan did find the net 10 minutes after the restart, her free kick flying past the goalkeeper and into the net.
But just 6 minutes later and it was all square again, substitute Kit Graham firing Charlton level from the edge of the box.
Startup needed treatment after making a brave stop to deny Pam McRoberts on the follow-up to Megan Chandler’s drive.
In the 90th minute there was a huge scramble following a corner and the ball broke loose for Olivia Lukasewich, whose half-volley was deflected into the net for the deciding goal.
