UEFA WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEMI-FINALS IST LEG
Manchester City v Olympique Lyonnais (Academy Stadium, 2pm)
Barcelona v Paris Saint-Germain (Mini Estadi, 5pm)
Manchester City play their first-ever Champions League semi-final with holders Lyon the visitors.
On their European debut, City have knocked out two former finalists in Zvezda-2005 Perm and Fortuna Hjørrring but three-times winners Lyon are appearing in a joint-record eighth semi-final.
Despite their inexperience in the tournament, Carli Lloyd says she has witnessed enough in her short spell with Man City to instil confidence of success.
However, the USA skipper warned her side to focus on the task at hand and try to suppress thoughts of the final at Cardiff.

“We’re dying to get to the final but we have to concentrate on these semi-final matches.
“You wouldn’t be a footballer and competing if you didn’t think you could win it.
“We know we can. I’ve got the belief. We have a quality side with depth and the players to do it.”

Barcelona are the first Spanish club to reach the last four and will be backed by a record sell-out crowd of 12,945.
PSG are in their third semi-final but missing defender Laura Georges through suspension..
While Barca have won all six of their matches in this season’s competition, Paris have twice needed to bounce back from first-leg defeats to progress.
Both second legs will take place on Saturday April 29th, with the final of couse at Cardiff City Stadium on 1st June.
