Celtic went top of the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Glasgow City at Airdrie FC on Thursday evening.

All the goals came in the last 20 minutes, with Chloe Craig firing Celtic in front from the penalty spot after Kit Loferskie was brought down in the box and Kenzie Weir was sent off.

City were level seven minutes later from an own goal, Lauren Davidson seeing her strike deflected in by Kelly Clark.

But Celtic restored the lead in the 89th minute through Colette Cavanagh, who took the ball down and drilled it home to preserve her team’s 100% league record.
