Celtic lead Scottish Women’s Premier League after midweek win

Celtic and Glasgow City both went above the Scottish Women’s Premier League’s morning leaders Rangers when recording their eighth straight wins.

Aberdeen 1-3 Hibernian
Glasgow Women 0-5 Glasgow City
Dundee United 0-4 Celtic

Celtic struck twice in the first seven minutes at Dundee United, Jacynta and Clarissa Larisey on target before Caitlin Hayes and Tegan Bowie added second-half goals.

Glasgow City went one better at Glasgow Women but stay goal-difference behind Celtic. Emily Whelan scored in either half, Jenna Clark, Claire Walsh and Abbi Grant also finding the net.

Hibernian are up to fifth following victory at Aberdeen. Eilidh Adams’ opener was cancelled out by Bayley Hutchison but Leah Eddie soon restored the lead. Hibs had a player advantage from the 77th minute when Eilidh Shore was shown a second yellow card, after which the Dons conceded an own-goal.

Boroughmuir Thistle 2-2 Gartcairn

Gartcairn lead the table by three points but needed a late Georgina McTear leveller to draw at Boroughmuir. Sydney Hinchliffe and Orr-Love each had Thistle ahead, McTear twice equalising.

Cliftonville Ladies maintain one-point advantage over Glentoran
