The League Champions have won 18 matches this season and only drawn two, meaning all Met needed was a point in Thursday’s match but the Archers were taking no chances and made sure they claimed all 3 points and the title beating local rivals Cyncoed 6-0.
Abi Fever opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a great strike from the touchline to find the back of the net. Two further first-half goals from Robyn Pinder and Chloe O’Connor helped Cardiff Met looking comfortable to claim the title going into the break.
Cyncoed had no intention of letting Met take the title easily and battled hard in the second half.
Two goals from Erin Murray and one from Georgia Bridges’ first touch sealed victory for Met and sees them head into the UEFA Women’s Champions League to represent Wales for a third year in a row.
