Cardiff Met made it five straight wins in the Welsh Premier, holding top spot with a narrow 2-1 derby defeat of Cyncoed, while second-placed Swansea City hit Caernarfon Town for six.

Cardiff Met were kept out by Cyncoed until Naomi Clipston struck just ahead of half-time. Substitute Kirstie Pervin-Davies levelled things up, only for Stacey Ailing to win it for the Archers with an 85th minute penalty.
Beynon bags brace as Swansea hit six
Caernarfon Town were up against it from the start at Swansea, Emma Beynon having scored in just the 2nd minute. Beynon doubled her tally, with Sarah Adams and Jodie Passmore extending the lead to 4-0 by the break. Stacy John-Davis scored at the start of the second half and Alison Witts got the sixth with nearly half an hour still remaining.
Bluebirds beat battling Caldicot Town
Shannon Evans’ early goal for Cardiff City FC was soon cancelled out but Kanisha Underdown converted a penalty, after which the Bluebirds just about kept their hosts at arms length. City broke away for Evans to get her second an although Town reduced the deficit, Alicia Davies netted to send Cardiff into the break 4-2 up. Caldicot were right back in it with their third on 50 minutes and there were only 3 minutes left when Davies grabbed her second and City’s fifth. Meanwhile, City boss Joel Hutton won the WPWL Manager of the Month award for September.
Port Talbot Town 1-5 Abergavenny
Abergavenny also bagged five goals after initially being pegged back by their hosts. Lauren Boyd’s effort brought a reply from Carys Davies but Lyndsey Davies restored the lead right on half time. WPWL Player of the Month for September, Maxine Mudge and scored soon after the interval, along with Sian Bull, while Laura Davies completed the scoring.
Doren nets double in Llandudno fightback
Llandudno came from one down at the interval to storm to a 5-2 victory at Rhyl. Amy Webster’s 41st-minute opener brought a Kelsey Davies equaliser moments after the restart. A double from Louishsa Doren put Llandudno in control, with Sofie Owen and a Kate Bowe free-kick sending them out of sight. Caroline Gardner pulled one back for Rhyl in the dying minutes.
