Cardiff City Women edge South Wales derby

Cardiff City were 1-0 winners over Swansea City in the South Wales derby, ten-player Briton Ferry Llansawel denied The New Saints victory at the death.

Lily Billingham’s goal ten minutes into the second half for Cardiff City brought a derby win at home to Swansea City, pushing them six points clear at the top of the table.

Ava Suckley hit a hat-trick as Wrexham sank Aberystwyth Town 7-1, despite the visitors having pulled it back to 2-1 early in the second half.

A Lucy Powell penalty had Briton Ferry in front but they were down to ten players with a second caution for Laura-May Walkley.

Lexi Jones turned the game round for the The New Saints with two goals in the space on 11 minutes but Megan Kearle grabbed a 96th-minute leveller which kept the home side in second spot.

Felinheli 2-0 Flint Town United (Att: 25)

Connah’s Quay Nomads netted a ninth straight win 7-1 over Llandudno, in which Polly Wild-McGregor claimed a treble.

Llanfair United rose to second with a 1-0 win against Rhyl, Harriet Davies with a first-half decider.

Felinheli leapfrogged Flint Town United and went up to fourth position, Kelly Jones’ opener added to in first-half added time by a Catrin Evans penalty.

Four-goal Bangor climbed to fifth, Menna Evans at the double away to NFA.

Llanelli Town 0-1 Swansea University (Att: 90)

Pontypridd United won the top-of-the-table clash with Cwmbran Celtic to replace them as leaders on goal-difference, Caitlin Seaborne with the 70th-minute breakthrough,

Swansea University also got the only goal of their game at Llanelli Town, Jessica Goucher on target before the break.
