Cardiff City FC beat underdogs Briton Ferry Llansawel 4-0 in the FAW Women’s Cup Final at Merthyr Town FC.

Adran South winners Llansawel began competitively but league champions Cardiff struck twice in quick succession midway through the first half.

Eliza Collie beat the keeper to a through ball to poke home and Catherine Walsh put away a ball into the box on the half-volley.

Llansawel keeper Courtney Young did well to push a shot round the post and also tip an effort from the resulting corner over the bar, before only being able to help Ffion Price’s near post flag-kick into her own net.

In the 89th minute Rhianne Oakley volleyed home Mikayla cook’s cross at the far post.
