The game saw a nervy start by both teams but Villa Dino settled the quickest and were able to go 1-0 up midway through the first half.
Cardiff goalkeeper Megan Atkins was called on to make some important saves to keep Villa Dino from scoring again and maintain hopes of City getting back in the tie.
The second half saw Cardiff come out fighting from the start as they created many chances but the Villa Dino keeper made some brilliant saves to keep her side in the lead.
With just 15 minutes to go, Daisy Evan-Watkins put in a corner which found the head of Ella Powell, she forced a fantastic save from the Villa keeper, however Monet Legall was following in and forced the ball over the line to level the scores.
Down to the last 5 minutes and City’s Chelsea Deacon carried the ball through midfield and linked up well with Danni Lundrigan, forcing the Villa Dino defenders into a hurried clearance. The ball fell to the feet of Emily Poole, who fired in a ferocious shot which flew into the bottom left hand corner.
