Callington Win St Agnes Charity Sevens

Played across two pitches, St Agnes report that the competition was keen with the top teams on each pitch of Mousehole and Callington Town facing each other in the final.

Cornwall League Mousehole put up a spirited performance against their South West League opponents but with the latter running out 2-0 winners.

Kat Marment of Callington won the referees’ award as player of the tournament.

Presenting the trophies, St Agnes AFC Chair Mandy Kimmins said, “What a great advert for ladies football today has been. Almost 140 ladies playing some excellent football with a wonderful atmosphere. Half of today’s proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research UK.”
