Bristol Rovers Women promoted to FA WNL as Regional League champions

Bristol Rovers won the South West Regional League after a draw for title rivals Sherborne Town meant they could no longer be caught.

EASTERN – Billericay first to beat leaders

Premier – Second-placed Haringey Borough narrowly saw off Bowers & Pitsea by three goals to two, St Albans City returned from Needham Market 3-1 victors to move four points above the relegation zone but with AFC Dunstable now having two games in hand.

1 North – Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers defeated third-placed Wootton Blue Cross 4-1 to remain top by a point, Rebecca McShane got the only goal at Thetford Town as Harpenden Town kept up the pressure and with a game in hand. Histon are up to fourth following their 3-3 tie at Mulbarton Wanderers.

1 South – Billericay Town Devs are up to third after abruptly ending Watford Ladies Development’s unbeaten run with a 5-1 scoreline, in which subs Kasey Keen and Marnie Ray both scored twice. Second-placed Southend United were also beaten, 3-1 at home by Hertford Town.

League Cup Semi-Finals – Wroxham edged out Stevenage 3-2 after extra-time as Hannah Fuller completed her hat-trick, league leaders Real Bedford came through 2-1 at Luton Town.

League Plate Quarter-Final – Biggleswade United reached the last four with a 3-2 victory over Fakenham Town.

EAST MIDLANDS – Basford and Lincoln United to meet in Cup Final

Premier –  Anstey Nomads went three up inside 20 minutes against Grimsby Town, Milly Wortley scoring twice in what ended up a narrow 3-2 win. Dunton & Broughton United hit hosts Long Eaton United for six.

1 Central – Mid-table Beaumont Park shared six goals with top-of-the-table Nottingham Trent University, who now only lead on goal-difference after Arnold Eagles’ 5-3 defeat of West Bridgford which was aided by a Natasha Leach double. Asfordby Amateurs pulled off a 4-0 win at third-placed Notts County Devs.

1 North – Gainsborough Trinity lead by four points after their eight goals and seven different scorers against Skegness Town. Dronfield Town defeated Lincoln United Devs 3-1 to jump two places to second and have played three fewer games than the top team.

1 South – Stamford’s sole goal of the game with Cardea pushed them up into fourth position.

League Cup Semi-Finals – Basford United beat New Bradwell St Peter 4-1 and are joined in the final by Lincoln United, 1-0 winners at Mansfield Town.

League Plate Semi-Final – Rotherham United reached the final with four unanswered goals away to Chesterfield Ladies.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Saltdean win at second-placed Fulham

Premier – Dartford just got the better of Millwall Lionesses 3-2 to move seven points clear in pole position, with Fulham having gone down at home to a Paula Howells goal for Saltdean United. Dulwich Hamlet are still nine points short of the leaders from two games fewer, after their 4-1 win at Ashford United. Ebbsfleet United defeated Dorking Wanderers 4-0, Sutton United stayed goal-difference ahead of Aylesford after the pair played out a goalless draw.

1 North – Sport London E Benfica dropped points for only the third time in 15 games, when held 3-3 at home by Actonians Reserves. Chloe Logie scored half Brentford’s six goals past Whyteleafe, Clapton CFC’s Maria Mendonca bagged a brace as they won a seven-goal thriller at Ashmount Leigh. Hackney climbed to sixth by inflicting Camden & Islington United’s 14th straight defeat by three goals to nil.

1 South –  Bognor Regis Town beat Bexhill United 5-1 in a relegation ‘six-pointer’ to overtake them on goal-difference, also lifting themselves out of the drop zone at the expense of Steyning Town.

NORTH EAST – Twelve straight wins for Sunderland U-23s, 13 goals for Chesterfield FC Women

Premier – Spennymoor Town’s 6-0 defeat of Harrogate Town raised them three places to third and sent their visitors to the foot of the table on goal-difference.

1 North – Sunderland U-23s’ 6-2 success at Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves made it a dozen wins in a row for the leaders, Wallsend BC Reserves beat Thornaby 2-1, Ponteland United are back in third after a walkover against Hartlepool Pools Youth, while Gateshead got three points with a 4-2 result at Chester le Street United.

1 South – Chesterfield FC Women ran riot with a 13-2 win at Harworth Colliery with four each from Chloe Foster and Daisy Allen, three by Lexie Butterworth as the Spireites leapt three places to second. Lower Hopton took the points 2-1 at Handsworth.

NORTH WEST – Hat-trick secures FC St Helens’ Cup progress

Premier – Fleetwood Town Wrens banked another point towards safety but it was looking to be three with Holly Hunter’s goal, until Bury’s Dannielle Bailey levelled on 89 minutes.

Alliance Design & Print Cup 2nd Round – FC St. Helens’ Ashley Beard struck three times in a 3-1 win at Haslingden, Northwich Vixens knocked out Altrincham by the odd goal in five, Mancunian Unity ran in 11 goals at Litherland REMYCA, while other results were; Crewe Alexandra 5-0 Bolton Wanderers,   Curzon Ashton 5-2 Blackpool, Poulton Vics 3-0 West Didsbury & Chorlton, Tranmere Rovers 4-1 Darwen.

Alliance Design & Print Plate 1st Round – Radcliffe went through 2-1 at Chester with the decider by Lucy Golding, Hindley progressed 4-3 at Workington Reds, Blackburn CSC overcame Runcorn Linnets in a 10-3 goalfest, Carlisle United were given a walkover against Ellesmere Port Town, whilst elsewhere ties ended Accrington Stanley 5-0 Penrith, Mossley Hill Athletic 6-1 Fleetwood Town Wrens Reserves.

SOUTHERN – Ascot enter home straight

Premier – Ascot United’s 2-0 victory at Badshot Lea leaves them needing four points from two games to be sure of the title, with Oxford City having overcome second-placed Bournemouth Sports 3-0. Woodley United’s Tina Brett scored the one goal of the match at Eastleigh, Warminster Town fought back from one down at the break to win 3-1 at Winchester City Flyers.

1 North – Long Crendon will be champions if they avoid defeat in their final game, after Eleanor Lovelock got both their goals in a 2-1 win at Wycombe Wanderers U-23s. Caversham United won the basement battle 1-0 with Eversley & California but remain in the relegation place on goal-difference from five games more.

1 South – Third-placed AFC Stoneham drew 1-1 with unbeaten AFC Portchester, as they both attempt to chase down leaders Havant & Waterlooville.

SOUTH WEST – Gas Girls going up

Premier – Bristol Rovers were handed the title after Sherborne Town’s 3-3 home draw with Bishops Lydeard meant they could no longer be caught. Elsewhere, Pucklechurch Sports beat AFC St Austell 2-1.

1 East – Royal Wootton Bassett Town won 1-0 at Weymouth where Caily Morse was on target, Bath City are third after putting five past Shaftesbury and  Stockwood Wanderers lost out 4-3 at home to Purton.

1 North – St Vallier were 5-2 victors on the road at Bristol Rovers Devs, Bitton are still goal-difference ahead of Paulton Rovers with whom they drew 0-0.

Divisional League Cup 1st Round – Weston super Mare substitute Emily Nicholson scored as Gloucester City bowed out 4-3, SGS Olveston United’s Kassia Smith found the net for a 1-0 win at Ridgeway, AEK Boco were 4-0 winners at Middlezoy.

WEST MIDLANDS – Nearly 500 watch Worcester win again

Premier – Worcester City beat Knowle 3-0 on Friday evening to go 11 points clear, Jessica Fassnidge with all the goals in front of a crowd of 475. Shrewsbury Town gained ground on third-placed Burton Albion when beating them 3-0, Crusaders’ Danielle Selmes was at the double as they recorded only a second win of the campaign, 2-0 away to Lichfield City.

1 North – Port Vale are up to third and with multiple games in hand on those above them, after a 5-0 victory at Coventry City.

1 South – Alvechurch have a three-point advantage at the top following a 7-3 success at Long Itchington, Hereford Pegasus’s Harriet Adams got two goals in the 3-2 win at Sedgley & Gornal United that put them fourth, Worcester City Devs drew 0-0 with Leamington Lions, who are now sixth and with several games to make up.

Premier Cup Semi-Final – Lye Town advanced to the final, with all three goals of the game at Solihull Sporting.

Division 1 Cup 1st Round – Redditch Borough eliminated Redditch United 2-0, with first-half goals from Liberty Windsor and Esther Lau-Mackaay.
