Yana Daniels and Jas Matthews have both signed new contracts with Bristol City ahead of the 2020/21 Barclays FA Women’s Super League campaign.

“We’re delighted Yana has signed a new deal at Bristol City. She has become an integral part of our team since rejoining the club in the summer and her versatility and willingness to take on things outside her comfort zone to help the group this season has been exceptional”, manager Tanya Oxtoby told bcfc.co.uk.

Daniels added: “This club is on an exciting journey with a great group of girls and I just need to keep working hard, improving my game to help the team in any way I can.”

Central defender Jaz Matthews is currently in her 10th season with the Robins and by committing to a new contract, she will equal club captain Loren Dykes as the longest serving player at Bristol City.

“Jas has had an incredible season so far and she was a high priority in terms of ensuring we continue to build for next season. She’s a brilliant professional and role model, and someone who sets the standards day-in, day-out”, said Oxtoby.

Matthews added: “I’ve really enjoyed working under Tanya and I’m excited to see how much further I can progress under her and the coaches at the club as we look to push the club forward in the coming seasons.”
