Bristol City Women have secured the loan signing of Wales international strilker Elise Hughes from Everton until the end of the 2019/20 season.

The eighteen-year-old signed her first professional deal with Everton in the summer of 2019 and over the past twelve months has also become a regular in Jane Ludlow’s Wales squad.

Bristol City Manager, Tanya Oxtoby, told bcfc.co.uk: “We identified the centre forward role as an area we needed to strengthen due to long-term injuries and we feel Elise can add real to the value to the squad and the frontline in particular.

“She’s a young and talented player who has potential to shine in the Barclays WSL and who impressed me during her performances at international level with Wales. I’m really looking forward to working with her throughout the second half of the season, to help us achieve our goals.”
