Brighton Women sign ex-Rangers defender Rachel McLauchlan

Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Scotland international defender Rachel McLauchlan from SWPL side Rangers.

The 27-year-old spent three seasons with Rangers, winning a cup double with them last term and the league title in 2023.

She has 23 caps for her country and her club career has taken her to the likes of Glasgow City, Hibernian and Yeovil Town.

Zoe Johnson, managing director of women’s and girls’ football, told brightonandhovealbion.com: “We’re delighted to welcome Rachel to the club. She’s an experienced player who’s competed in cup finals and the Champions League, as well as on the international stage for Scotland.

“She’s developed her career in the last few seasons with Rangers and we’re looking forward to seeing her thrive in the WSL.”
