Gotham FC’s 30-year-old forward Taylor Smith has joined Brighton & Hove Albion for the rest of the season.
Head coach Melissa Phillips told brightonandhovealbion.com: “We are excited to welcome Taylor to Brighton as our latest January signing.
“Taylor is an experienced player with a competitors mindset and brings a wealth of experience from championship winning teams in the NWSL.
“We are eager to help her settle in and see the value she will add to our team for the rest of the season as we aim to climb the table.”
Smith signed for Gotham FC in 2022 and has won the NWSL Championship in November 2023. The USA international has also played for Western New York Flash, Washington Spirit, Newcastle Jets and OL Reign ns.
Meanwhile, Comfort Erhabor will join Hibernian for the remainder of the season, having signed her first professional contract with Albion this week.
