Brighton & Hove Albion beat Aston Villa 4-2 after both teams saw red in Saturday’s Barclays Women’s Super League match.

Rachel Daly did have the visitors ahead from a Kirsty Hanson cross, only for Nikita Parris to level a couple of minutes later from Poppy Pattinson’s ball across the six-yard box.

Parris turned provider as Pauline Bremer gave Brighton the interval lead, Daly on target from the spot to make it 2-2 after Guro Bergsvand brought down Anna Patten.

Villa had Paula Tomas sent off  after 75 minutes for a challenge on Kiko Seike in the box, Fran Kirby converting the resulting penalty.

In the fourth minute of the added ten, Albion’s Pattinson was also dismissed following her second caution.

But substitute Michelle Agyemang broke into the box and fired home to seal Brighton’s victory.
