The 28-year-old left Notts County in April, and Albion say she arrives on the south coast with a vast amount of experience, having begun her career with Arsenal.
She moved to London rivals Chelsea in 2007 and scored a brace on her Blues debut; she spent seven years playing for the WSL1 club.
Buet just missed out on a WSL winners’ medal in 2014, when Liverpool pipped Chelsea to first place on goal difference.
In 2015, she moved to Notts County and reached the SSE Women’s FA Cup Final in 2015, however she was denied a winners medal by her former club Arsenal.
She has eight England senior caps, and made her debut against South Africa in 2009, after featuring at under-17 and under-19 level.
Albion’s women’s and girls’ general manager, Kirsty Hulland, welcomed the arrival of Buet to the club and believes the midfielder will add more quality to the team ahead their debut season in the WSL2.
She told brightonandhovealbion.com: “We’re delighted to have Dani sign for the club. Her experience within the women’s game will be vital throughout the upcoming season, as we look to hold our own in the WSL2.
“She will add something different to the midfield options we already have, and we’re very much looking forward to working with her, ahead of an exciting season for everybody involved at the club.”
