As Middlesbrough FC Ladies travel to Blackburn this weekend in FA Cup action, a former British tennis doubles number one and new team sponsor is showing her backing ahead of the important game.
Boro born Sarah Borwell, who is sponsoring Emily Scott, has sent her good luck to MFC ladies direct from the States.
Sarah said “it’s great to see how well they have been doing and I keep an eye on their results each week online.”
“I’m really pleased that Scotty is doing so well this season by scoring some vital goals and she’s still in with a chance of being top goal scorer too.”

Sarah Borwell’s Tennis Smart business is one of several new sponsors MFC Ladies have secured this season.
Although a tennis pro, Sarah had played in her school’s boys’ football team alonngside Jonathan Woodgate and her father is a scout for Aston Villa.
Boro’s match on Sunday with Premier League Blackburn Rovers is being played at AFC Darwen.
