Miss ‘fancy pants’ believes very much in fair play, even swopping sides when you’re walloping the opposition and getting a goal for them.
1. What is your full name and age?
My name is Katie Tutty and I am 11 years old
2. What do your team mates call you on the footie field?
My usual nickname is Tutty but it can be fancy pants
3. Who do you play for and which team do you support?
I play for my local team, Skipton Town, but have also experienced playing for West Riding County FA Player Development Centre. The team I support would have to be Oxford United, as I was born there and lived there for 9 years.
4.Are you left or right footed?
I am supposedly right footed but can dribble with my left foot.
5. What is your fave position and why?
My favourite position is right midfield as I am liable for a chance of getting a goal as well as supporting my fellow team mates in defending.
6. If you could meet a player (male or female) who would it be?
I would definitely like to meet Geoff Hurst as he scored the winning goal in the world cup final against West Germany for England in 1966. I would ask him what it felt like to win such an important competition.
7. If you could play on the same team as anyone who would it be?
There is nobody in particular; I like to play with anyone who has a good attitude towards football and has a lot of fun.
8. What colour shirt would you most like to play in?
The colour shirt I would most like to play in would be a bright yellow and navy blue, in recognition of Oxford United.
9. Can you describe yourself as a footballer, in three to five words?
Supportive, determined, 100% team player.
10. What is the funniest thing that ever happened to you in football?
We were 9-0 up and the other team were short of a player, so I was asked to play for them. I did and ended up scoring a goal against my own team. The final score was 9-1.
11. Do you have you any superstitions?
No, but our older team have to eat Jaffa cakes before a match.
12. What is your favourite pre-match or post-match music?
I don’t listen to anything in particular; we usually listen to the radio.
13. What is your favourite post match treat?
My favourite treat after a game would be fresh fruit such as melon or berries.
14. Who is your biggest fan?
My Dad – he supports and encourages me.
15. Who are your heroes?
Anyone who has good sportsmanship towards football such as Bobby Moore.
16. What is the most common thing you shout in a match?
“Katie’s” – so people know that I’m running for the ball!
