The England team have been given a massive boost, says Liverpool central defender Gemma Bonner, by the news that ticket sales are booming for November 23rd’s meeting with European champions Germany at Wembley.

The news that, almost a month ahead of the game, 33,000 tickets had been pre-sold was relayed to the players at their training camp at St George’s Park.
The friendly international will be the first time that the England women’s team have played at the new Wembley and Bonner said: “When we were told what the sales figures were up to everyone got very excited, we were all really buzzing.
“Having that many supporters, and hopefully more, in the stadium will make it a very special occasion and they can hopefully be a 12th player for us in what will be an extremely tough test against one of the very best teams in the world.”
The tickets already sold guarantee a new record attendance for an England women’s game and Bonner said: “This is a great time for women’s football.
“I remember in the not too distant past playing club games in front of just a few fans, in fact there were times when people didn’t know when or where games were being played – but things have come on so much in the last five years.
“What we must do now is keep those improvements going year-on-year to hopefully bring in more and more supporters at club and international levels.”
