Bolton Wanderers and C & K Basildon were the latest sides to reach the FA WPL Reserve Cup quarter-finals but there’s still one outstanding 3rd Round tie between Stoke and West Brom.

On the day that their first team won 7-3 at West Ham, C & K Basildon Reserves went through 5-3 in the cup. Katie Whitehead and Jodie Osborne each bagged a brace, Tilly Deacon with the visitors’ other goal, while Whitley Locke got two for the Hammers and Andreya Ezekiel-Meade one.
Bolton Wanderers won 2-1 at Newcastle United, Emily Hockenhull and Ruby Howard on target for the side that head to the USA in February to play in the Las Vegas international showcase. Abbie Gilchrist got the single goal for the Magpies.
On 19th November, Derby County defeated Leicester City WFC 2-1 and Portsmouth put out Denham United 6-1.
Emma-Jane May, Rebecca Bell, Sharna Capel-Watson, Eshe Johnson, Bethany Roche and Kayleigh Tonks were all on the scoresheet for Pompey.
Efforts from Harriet Heaney and Anita Gaspar in the first half-hour or so proved sufficient to send the Rams through.
The first three sides who progressed on 12th November had been, Crystal Palace, Coventry United and Huddersfield Town.
Palace edged out South London rivals Charlton Athletic 3-2, Karisha Iton with a double and Meadow Barton netting the Eagles’ other goal.
Huddersfield progressed on penalties past Blackburn Rovers, after the pair had shared six goals. Kathryn Halligan bagged a brace and Amy Broomhead the Terriers’ other goal, while Rovers scored through Georgia Stevens, Sarah Agger and Alice Thompson.
Lois Jefferies hit a hat-trick in Coventry;s 4-0 win at Loughborough Foxes, where Amber Down was also on target.
