Blues Bag England’s Ellen White

The 27-year-old joins from Notts County on a 18-month contract, plus a further one-year option.

The addition of White follows a busy couple of days for Blues, with future star Jess Carter also extending her contract with an 18-month deal and Sarah Mayling joining from Villa Ladies.

White (who has 56 caps and 17 international goals) has been selected for the forthcoming England training camp and travels to La Manga on Sunday.

The Birmingham City LFC website reports that the former Arsenal Centre of Excellence/Academy product met with her new Blues teammates this week and will return after the England’s friendlies against Norway and Sweden later this month.

The matches are part of the Lionesses’ preparations for next summer’s Euros, which will be played in Netherlands (16th July – 6th August).

The Aylesbury born striker left Arsenal in 2005 and became Chelsea Ladies top scorer for three successive seasons before moving to Leeds Carnegie in June 2008. White returned to Arsenal in 2010 and before joining Notts County, ahead of the 2014 season.
