Blackburn Rovers Ladies have signed 20-year-old former Manchester United defender Charlotte Newsham.
Newsham, who can play in midfield as well as on the left or right side of defence, spent 2019-20 on loan at Huddersfield Town, playing 13 times and scoring twice.
The former Rovers RTC graduate made her first-team debut in United’s pre-season tour of Norway at the start of last season, previously won a league and cup double with Manchester City’s Development Team, and also made 11 appearances for Scotland U-19s.
Head coach Gemma Donnelly told rovers.co.uk: “Charlotte adds varied experience having played at both Manchester City and United and like Emma Bradley, has been working with full-time professionals.
“She is another player that I’m excited to invite back into the club and we hope that she will add to the culture we have at Rovers.”
