Birmingham City have signed USA international goalkeeper Adrianna Franch until the end of the season following her departure from NWSL side Kansas City Current.
She was part of the USA squad that won the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2019 and Olympic Bronze Medal a year later.
Franch became the first player to be named NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year twice and won the League Shield, Challenge Cup and Championship with Portland Thorns.
Franch told BluesTV: “‘I’m super excited to be here. The opportunity presented itself and culturally getting a different experience you continue to learn.
“Being a part of a team that wants to move forward and be ambassadors in the women’s game and hopefully be part of something special.”
