Libby Smith has joined Birmingham City Women after helping Leicester City win the Championship title.

The 20-year-old England youth international made 14 appearances in the second tier last term, when the winger/striker was also operating at right-back.

Smith told lcfc.com: “I am really excited to be here. It’s a great opportunity for myself and the girls this season and I can’t wait to get going.

“I’m looking to make a mark and making an impact in the WSL.

“I can see that he [Scott Booth] has got great ambitions for the club, that is something that I want to be part of. He has got great experience himself and as a manager.

“I am capable of playing full-back too but my bread and butter is scoring goals and getting assists and being in that final third. I am a fast and direct player, and I will give everything for the team.”
