Birmingham City Join Blues Family

There have been a number of associated changes to Blues Ladies structure. Panos Pavlakis has been appointed a Director and together with existing Director Joanne Allsopp, the Club’s Chief Co-ordinating Officer, will comprise the Board of Blues Ladies.

City say that this move will serve to strengthen and enhance the Ladies strategy and vision in the same way the men’s side of Club operations has been and is benefitting from his, the Senior Management Team and TTA’s involvement.

Tim Andrews has resigned his position of Chief Executive Officer. Tim took on a key role to help oversee day to day matters at Blues Ladies.

Tim commented: “I’ve had a great year as CEO of Blues Ladies and wish the girls all the best for the future.”

Heather Cowan has come in as full-time General Manager, Zoe Jones was appointed Football Administration and Operations Executive and Chris Gould, who oversees the day to day operations of the Ladies Regional Talent Club, is now also working from St. Andrew’s.

Following Marcus Bignot’s appointment as Grimsby Town manager, he will be leaving his role as Head Coach in January.

Marcus will continue to support Blues Ladies in an advisory capacity and is currently helping with future planning.

Discussions are ongoing in regards a replacement and the coaching team for the forthcoming season.

Steve Shipway, who served Blues Ladies for more than 25 years before stepping down at the season’s end, has accepted a position of Honorary Vice President in recognition of his long service and dedication. Steve will still be involved in an advisory capacity.
