Birmingham City FC Women extend Lucy Whipp’s contract while Alex Brooks leaves

Birmingham City FC Women taken the option to extend Lucy Whipp’s contract but Alex Brooks departs when her deal expires at the end of this month.

Lucy Whipp joined the Blues last summer from St John’s University in New York after a four-year spell in America.

The forward made 19 appearances in all competitions during 2019-20 and sees her stay extended for a further 12 months.

Goalkeeper Alex Brooks joined in January 2019 from Sheffield United but the former Manchester City graduate only made three appearances in all competitions last season, with Hannah Hampton in goal for all the WSL fixtures.
