Belles Bring Back Nicky Davies

The Belles asay that 31-year-old Davies originally enjoyed a spell with them between 2013 and 2014 before making the move to Reading.

After re-joining the Belles, Davies told doncasterroversbelles.co.uk: “I’ve been out of the game for about two years and now’s the time for me to get back into it.

“Having moved back up here with work and having been here before it was an easy decision to speak with Emma and she was keen for me to get involved.

“I’ve been here for a few weeks now and I’m really enjoying being back. I’m starting to get the sharpness back in training and the training games we’ve had.

“Hopefully I can get some games and with regular training again push towards getting back into the Wales squad.

“There’s only a couple of familiar faces around now since I was last here but that was a tough time with the previous relegation already decided.

“This time the positivity around the place is great and the group are incredibly close and together.

On making the signing, manager Emma Coates said: “It was a no brainer when Nicky got in contact with me to bring her back to the club.

“She can bring a lot of life experience to the group as well as her experience as a player and knows the club from her previous spell here.

“Her work priorities have changed and wants to get back into football.

“She can bring a lot of life experience to the group as well as her experience as a player and knows the club from her previous spell here.

“The move just sort of happened. She’s the right person to bring into the group and gets on well with the girls. Hopefully we can help her with her personal goals and she can help the team along the way.”
