The Belles say that the 19-year-old Davies has been training with them and has impressed manager Coates and goalkeeping coach Nick Dingwall during her first few weeks. And the Wales U-19 international has been rewarded with a deal at the club.
Despite her young age, Davies has experience at WSL level and was in goal for London Bees during their famous Continental Tyres Cup penalty shootout victory over WSL 1 side Chelsea.
On signing for the club, she said: “I’m thrilled to be here. I’m really pleased to be back playing at a WSL level and to be a part of this club.
“I want to develop as a player and push for that first team shirt here. That will then help me with my aims of getting back into the international set up with Wales.
“Everyone has been really welcoming since I arrived and I can’t wait to keep working with the players and staff here.”
After bringing Davies to the club, Coates said: “We’re all about developing young players and Bethan has bags of potential. With the coaching she’s going to get here and the programme we provide, she’s in a great position to be able compete for that first team shirt.
“Her long term goals are to get into the Wales senior set up regularly and we can hopefully help her try and achieve her aims.
“She’s been playing WPL football [with Leeds] since moving up north to university and now she’s ready for that next challenge of getting back into the WSL.”
