The Super League Vrouwenvoetbal had been running with just six sides but four newcomers will take the membership up to ten for next season.

RSC Anderlecht last year completed a hat-trick of league titles and were again in a strong position at the top of the table this term –  before fixtures were halted – ahead of Standard Fémina, AA Gent, KRC Genk, Club Brugge YLA and OH Leuven.

Joining for 2020-21 will be Eendracht Aalst – who had been leading the second division – plus Zulte Waregem, White Star Woluwe and Charleroi, while DVC EVA Tienen failed to meet requirements for the top flight.

The league will also be boosted by €100,000 as part of a TV rights deal, with broadcasters Eleven Sports to now give more coverage of the women’s game.
